Troubleshooting Reset Problems

What happens if you track diligently and complete the three-week fast, but don’t see any results? Before you decide that screen-time is not impacting your child, take a closer look at some of the following issues that can undermine a Reset. If you troubleshoot these and try again, odds are good that you’ll get a better result. You’ve got nothing to lose and potentially much to gain.

Issue #1: Overlooked Devices and Opportunities

Did you miss something? If a child exhibits classic signs of Electronic Screen Syndrome and is receiving interactive screen-time on a daily basis, then a properly executed electronic fast will almost always effect some type of positive change — even if there are multiple other variables going on. So, in cases like these — involving a child with classic ESS symptoms plus confirmed screen-time exposure — if parents tell me the fast “didn’t work,” I am almost certain something was overlooked.

Here are some cases that demonstrate how easy it is to miss something.
